Star Awards 2005 was aired live on 4 December 2005 from 7pm- 10pm on Ch8.

Yeah!! My predictions and my choices were quite accurate!

Tong Xin Yuan finished on 5 December 2005. Sorry that I didn’t review it.

FACTS:
Yvonne Lim is the only contender nominated in 2 categories. Hong Huifang and Vivian Lai were nominated last year in their roles in part 1 of the same show. Christopher Lee is the only actor nominated for best actor this year and last. Andrew Seow won last years Best Supporting Actor award and is nominated this year too. Huang Biren and Fann Wong were nominated last year too!

On 11 July 2005, Joanne Peh appeared on TV in her first main role on Destiny(Meng4 Zai4 Shou2 Li3).
Destiny(Meng4 Zai4 Shou2 Li3) is rated: 3.6/5.0 (Good)
Remarks: Good cast and acting(only for some characters). Storyline- some parts not believeable, but overall not bad.
Best role(s): Harwick Lau, Michelle Chia, Huang Wenyong, Ezann Lee

On 15 August 2005, Xie Shaoguang appeared with Chen Liping on Baby Blues(Shei2 Jia1 Mu3 Ji1 Bu4 Shen1 Dan4), his swan song drama.
It is rated: 3.5/5.0 (Good)
Remarks: Good cast and good acting. Storyline very simple and boring.
Best role(s): Xie Shaoguang, Chen Liping, Michelle Chong, Zhu Mimi, Jin Yinji, Hou Xiangting

In 2001, Ivy Lee and Edmund Chen were a policewoman and forensic pathologist in the supernatural drama- Beyond the AXis of Truth(Fa3 Yi1 X Dang4 An4)
On 13 September 2005, they return in the sequel- Beyond the AXis of Truth 2(Fa3 Yi1 X Dang4 An4 2)
It is rated: 3.8/5.0 (Good)
Remarks: Good main and guests stars. Acting is very good. Cases are very enjoyable but SO not realistic. It’s a supernatural show. The best I have seen. A good drama!

Portrait of Home is a really interesting story with twists and turns.

It will be shown in 2 parts -part 1 & 2- like last years mega drama,
Double Happiness(Xi Lin Men). But I think it will be a much better production
in terms of story and cast. It’s a show worth watching!!

This show just finished yesterday… It’s SO not real!
I mean, is there really the neatherworld… etc.
The special effects look the same as the ones used in
“To Mum With Love”(Fei Yi Ban Ma Ma), when the ghosts try to
touch something and their hands go right through the table, child’s head… etc.
So, ok, there is a ‘moral’ in which Jizu turns over a new leaf and helps people…
RATING: 2.7/5.0
The acting is quite good.
Best roles: Brandon Wong as Bao- his acting is so scary!
& Zheng Ge Ping-so used to seeing him act a good guy.

ok… hi to all!
today i just started this new blog…
there is something i just enjoy- watching tv!!
ESPECIALLY channel 8 dramas like ‘Fate Twisters’ and ‘Beautiful Illusions’…
ok, now for the ratings that i give them–

7PM show FATE TWISTERS(HEI YE CAI HONG): 3.6/5.0

9PM show BEAUTIFUL ILLUSIONS(JING ZHONG REN): 4.1/5.0

Fann Wong’s acting really is not bad at all! I really have doubts when it
comes to her acting. But really, she took the role of a ‘shizo’ real well.

RATING FOR HER ACTING(in this role): 8 -8.5/10

Also acting in this show are: Thomas Ong, Qi Yuwu, Yvonne Lim, Nick Shen

THOMAS ONG’S ACTING: 7.5/10
QI YUWU’S ACTING: 7.5 -8/10
YVONNE LIM’S ACTING: 7.5 /10
NICK SHEN’S ACTING: 7/10

Beautiful Illusions has a really interesting storyline (i like long and complex dramas)
as it is a thriller drama and these type of stories appeal to me. It really is nice, you
know…
